Black Studies Department is hiring an Editorial Assistant!

Are you interested in economic, racial and social justice movements? Do you have research experience and excellent communication skills? If so, apply for this Research Assistant position with the Black Studies Department!

Position Summary
The Extra Help Editorial Assistant (Research Assistant) will work directly with Dr. Barbara Ransby to support the completion of a current book project. Duties include: completing library and bibliographic work, fact and source checking, data collection and interview transcriptions. The research assistant will also assist Dr. Ransby with document filing and organization and interview scheduling.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform library and bibliographic research
  • Conduct fact and source checking
  • Collect data and transcribe interviews
  • File and organize project-related documents
  • Schedule interviews and maintain calendar
