SJI and the Portal Project recognize that there are reservoirs of knowledge beyond the academy. We invite community-based scholars and researchers to join us in organized conversation, collaboration, learning and knowledge production.
We have invited over 100 scholars, activists, partners and affiliates to join us in this two-year journey of inquiry, research, debate and reflection. The research centers, institutes, and community based organizations from over 20 states, represent a rich and powerful ecosystem of creative and committed people, formidable justice-seeking organizations, and conscientious academic and research institutes and centers.
