Now accepting applications for The Pipeline to Justice (P2J) Academic Scholarship and Program!

SJI is accepting nominations and applications for the Pipeline to Justice (P2J) 2017 cohort. We are looking for determined community leaders who have a background in community organizing, activism or service that advances social justice. If you know someone who has applied or intends to apply to UIC for admission in Fall 2017, and would be a good candidate for the program, please encourage them to apply by the deadline Friday, April 7, 2017 .

Ideal candidates are individuals who have been committed to working toward social justice. This work includes, but is not limited to: policy and human rights advocacy, socially-engaged art practice, organizing with grassroots groups, and community fellowships and education. Candidates must demonstrate leadership skills, and express a desire to continue social justice oriented service after graduation.

To apply please submit:

  • A nomination letter from a community leader or professor/teacher
  • 1-2 paragraph biography of applicant
  • Academic history and transcripts (including High School GPA, ACT/SAT scores, and any college or university transcripts)
  • A resume/CV

SJI requires that all P2J nomination/application materials are submitted to Prudence Browne All candidates must apply separately to UIC’s undergraduate college.
