Our Pop Up JUST Art (PUJA) gallery serves as a portal to the neighboring communities and the larger Chicago community. It is an engaging space for students, faculty, and community members to come together to have conversations, and share strategies and insight about today’s most pressing social issues. We have diverse events at PUJA, ranging from gallery openings to community strategy sessions, to course seminars. Some photos of the exhibitions and events we have hosted at PUJA are below.
The 2016 exhibition at Puja featured Freedom Dreams in the Age of Mass Incarceration. The exhibition that explored the connections between artists inside and outside of the prison. All upcoming exhibition programs and events are FREE and OPEN to the public. Special thanks to The Prison + Neighborhood Arts Project for serving as our 2016 cosponsors and supporters of the exhibition.
Puja has been temporarily relocated from Maxwell street for winter 2017. New location details forthcoming!
